Santa’s Workshop smells like the heart of Christmas day—busy, joyful, and full of warmth. Bright cranberry and zesty orange bring a juicy, uplifting citrus-fruit combo, while cinnamon and clove add that classic holiday spice. A hint of cedar grounds it all with a gentle woodsy note, like garlands and a freshly cut tree in a cozy, bustling room.
Each candle is hand-poured in small batches on our family farm in New Brigden, Alberta, using a premium coconut soy wax blend and a crackling wooden wick. As it burns, the wooden wick adds a soft, fireplace-style crackle that makes your home feel extra festive and inviting.
Like all Coco & Mema candles, Santa’s Workshop is paraben- and phthalate-free, made with quality fragrance oils that actually fill your space without being overpowering.

Care Instructions

Wooden wicks burn a bit differently than traditional cotton wicks.   They burn longer, cleaner and have an incredible crackling sound.

The first burn is the most important!  Give your candle enough burn time to develop a full melt pool across the top, all the way to the side of the vessel. This may take a couple hours depending on the size of your candle.

Wooden Wicks can be a little temperamental!  They can be a bit tricky to light the first time so you may need to hold the lighter to the wick for a few seconds to get a proper flame.

Make sure your wick is trimmed to between 3mm – 4mm before each light.  The melted wax is the fuel for the flame…it needs to be optimal height or it’ll create ashy ends or let off soot.  Before each lighting be sure to gently break off and dispose of the charred ends of the wooden wick.  This will extend the life of your candle. If the flame is too big it’ll use the wax up much faster.

If your candle has some tunneling from shorter burns, you can usually fix it!  It won’t stay lit because it is “drowning” in a wax pool.  Let your candle burn for a bit, blow it out and using a paper towel soak up some of the excess wax (or carefully pour it out).  Relight your candle, and repeat until the top is evened out and your wick has room to breathe!  Or when the wax is solidified, gently scoop some out with a spoon and use it in your wax melter!
